    1. It’s all very well forcing people to take ‘advice’ before transferring out of a DB Scheme. I wanted to transfer my tiny DB pension into my current workplace scheme. The transfer value is just over £30k and I refuse to pay someone £3.5k to tell me it’s a good idea to transfer (and apparently there is only one ‘advisor’ who will give me the key to my money as nobody else wants to know. It seems I am stuck with it until the Government fixes this ridiculous situation. I will have to hope that next year the transfer value might have fallen below the 30k limit or it may be higher – so either way that might be the solution. A ridiculous situation.
